Q. Do they have any problem for being married?

I found an interview of a homosexual married couple. Ryoji is a Japanese man and his partner, Jack, is a Dutch man. I'm curious about this couple because they got married when the same-sex marriage has just become legal in Netherland. That's when not a lot of people know about ssm. Also, since it is an international marriage, I think they had had to take many processes to marry... but they were able to marry and I think this shows how they are in a strong relationship. I see no problems of being married from their interview. I thought most homosexual couples want children but they don't. But still not a problem because without children, it makes them to spend time together wisely while others taking care about their children. So this is one thing that changed my thought.

Q. How many homosexual couples adopt children?

The number is not clear written, but I found one article.
The Italian newspaper ‘Corriere della Sera’ says; there are 10milion kids having at least one parent who tend to like same-sex person. However, same-sex marriage is not allowed in Italy, so only biological parent can be recognized as a real parent. That is, another parent can’t be seen as a real parent. According to a survey of ‘Arcigay,’ 17.7% of gay and 20.5% of lesbian (homosexual people who is under 40-year-old) actually have children. It means one of 20 is gay or lesbian parents. And 49%of homosexual couples replied they want to have kids in the future. To make their hope possible, for example, some lesbian couples go to Spain or north Europe and gay couples go to America to find surrogate mother. And it is said that to make family with two dads or two mothers is not rare in the country.

Q. Is  there any country, currently considering of allowing or not allowing ssm?

I found a news article, which has just come up yesterday, talks about the gay marriage bill in NY, USA. In the republican conference, most of them voted to oppose gay marriage and they sent the bill to the Senate floor to have voting. The bill contains the protection for religious groups(adoption agencies and marriage counselors) which are against gay marriage. So the bill would be back and forth the floor to make sure it has enough changes for religious protections. Some republicans haven't decided which to vote. But the democratic gov. Andrew Cuomo, who made this bill, is sure that this bill will be passed in a few days. Because he knows 29 of 30 democrats in the Senate will vote for gay marriage.

Q. Is there any person who is homosexual but opposing ssm?

I found a recent news that talks about Vaughn Walker, who was retired federal Judge, declared that California's ban of gay marriage should not be provided by low and it is "unconstitutional". However, after his declaration, he decided to quite his job and told that he is gay and has a homosexual partner. After his confession, people who are against gay marriage complain that he had declared because he is gay. But their complain was not admitted. This case is about a person who is homosexual. I'm not sure if he is agree or disagree for gay marriage but I thought this situation is very hard for him to be a Judge. But since he said that he never make a judge by considering one's profit, I think he made a right choice on declaration.

Q. How many homosexual people got married in the world?

I couldn’t find the exactly number of homosexual people who get same-sex marriage in the world, so instead, I selected this story about Japanese man got married to American man. According to the article, there were 18000 couples who get same-sex marriage in California.
When California allowed same-sex marriage (March in 2008), Japanese man named Mr. Nakamura could get married to American man in August. Mr. Nakamura is 34-year-old and his sexuality is gay. He has noticed that he is gay since he was a child, so he had thought marriage is nothing to do with his life forever. But after knowing he can get same-sex marriage in California, he had some hope toward marriage. The two held wedding ceremony at a city office. They felt happy to this event, but November in same year, same-sex marriage is prohibited. Now certification of the marriages which were allowed from March to November are stopped for a while.

Original point: compared to the NGO which Mari found, the most different point is that this group make some drama relevant to the issue and play it in front of the public.

Impression: It is very original point to make drama and show it people. I found that they also made opera style drama. I think this activity is easy to understand what they want to tell us.
