I took this survey in my IE class and yahoogroups. The groups’ names are ‘gayhumanrights’ and ‘gaydads.’ But I couldn’t any responses from them, so I analyzed this survey using only responses of classmates. I got 10 people as respondents.

This result was the same with what I learned in the internet article. The article said young people tend to support same-sex marriage. The average of this survey was 22-year-old, so I think the tendency was right.

Support: equal protection and equal rights for ALL families.
the marriage system should be free.
It’s their problem so we shouldn’t say it’s good or it’s bad

Oppose: Can’t they be just friend in the first place?

Most of the respondents were Japanese, so the result was almost ‘NO.’

US (government) don’t allow same-sex marriage but some states allow it.

Nobody gave the word ‘chidren’ and ’religion.’ The main cause is that nationality and age. The respondents were all young. I guess if there are mothers or fathers in them, ‘children’ was chose. And Japan has tolerant attitude toward religion compared to other religions, such as Christianity or Islam, so I think nobody gave the word.

I was surprised to see this chart because nobody oppose their familiar people’s same-sex marriage. I thought that it is good result because people who took this survey are in sympathy with this issue.
